About Us A Whippet is....

The Alamo Area Whippet Club promotes active club membership, and therefore, appreciates applicants who are interested in and enthusiastic about participating in Club-hosted events including regular lure coursing trials, race meets, and conformation shows.  We encourage anyone interested in joining the club to join us first at a Club sponsored activity or event.  While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the Club's primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders, competitors and exhibitors in its immediate geographical area.
